Privacy Policy β€” UAE Job Hub

We believe you deserve to know exactly what happens with your personal information when you use our website. This page lays it all out β€” in plain language, without legal jargon. Whether you’re browsing job listings from Dubai, applying for a role in Abu Dhabi, or just exploring what’s available across the UAE, this policy covers how we handle your data from start to finish.

1. Who We Are & What This Site Does

UAE Job Hub is a job listing website built specifically for people looking for work in the United Arab Emirates. We operate at www.uaejobhub.com, and our entire focus is on connecting job seekers with real, verified employment opportunities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and every other emirate.

Here’s something important to understand about how we work: this isn’t a platform where employers sign up and post their own listings. There’s no employer portal, no recruiter accounts, and no third-party access. Every single job listing on this website is researched, verified, and published by us β€” the site owner. That means we have direct control over what goes up, and nothing gets posted without being checked first.

When you visit the site, you’re here to do one thing β€” find a job. You might browse listings, search by location or industry, sign up for email alerts, or apply directly to a position. This privacy policy explains what happens with your information during each of those interactions.

Throughout this document, when we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean UAE Job Hub and its owner. When we say “you” or “your,” we mean you β€” the person reading this, whether you’re actively job hunting or just having a look around.

If anything in this policy is unclear, or you have a question we haven’t answered here, we genuinely want to hear from you. Drop us a line at contact@uaejobhub.com or visit our contact page β€” we respond to every message personally.

2. Information We Collect (And What We Don't)

Let’s be direct about this β€” we don’t collect information for the sake of collecting it. Every piece of data we gather serves a specific, practical purpose. There are two categories: information you actively give us, and information that gets collected automatically when you browse the site.

Information You Voluntarily Provide

This only happens when you choose to take an action on the site. If you’re just reading job listings and scrolling around, we don’t ask you for anything. But when you do something like apply for a job, subscribe to email alerts, or send us a message through the contact form, you’re sharing information with us on purpose. The specific data depends on what you’re doing β€” applying for a job involves your name, email, phone number, and CV, while signing up for alerts only needs your email address. We cover the full list of job application fields in Section 3 below.

Information Collected Automatically

This is standard for virtually every website on the internet. When you visit UAE Job Hub, our servers automatically record some basic technical information about your visit. None of this identifies you personally β€” it’s the kind of background data that keeps websites running smoothly and helps us understand how people use the site. Here’s a clear breakdown of what we collect automatically and why:
What We CollectHow It’s CollectedWhy We Need It
IP address and approximate location (country or city level only)Automatically when you visit any pageSecurity monitoring, spam prevention, and understanding where our visitors are located
Browser type and operating systemAutomatically when you visitMaking sure the site displays and functions correctly on your device
Pages you visited and how long you spent on eachThrough analytics cookies (see Section 5)Understanding which content is useful and which pages need improvement
How you found us (Google search, direct visit, social media link, etc.)Automatically when you arrive on the siteKnowing where our traffic comes from so we can focus our efforts
Device type (desktop computer, tablet, or mobile phone)Automatically when you visitOptimizing the mobile and tablet experience for job seekers on the go
Job search queries you type into our search barWhen you use the search featureImproving search results and understanding what types of jobs people are looking for
Email addressOnly when you voluntarily sign up for job alertsSending you the job notifications you asked for β€” nothing else

What We Don't Collect

We think it’s just as important to tell you what we don’t do:
  • We don’t collect financial information (bank details, credit cards, salary slips)
  • We don’t collect government ID numbers, passport numbers, or visa details
  • We don’t track your precise GPS location
  • We don’t build behavioral profiles on individual users
  • We don’t use fingerprinting or any invasive tracking techniques
  • We don’t require you to create an account just to browse jobs

3. When You Apply for a Job β€” What Data We Need

This is where the most personal information comes in. When you see a job listing that interests you and click “Apply Now,” you’ll be asked to fill in an application form. Everything you enter into that form gets sent to us, and from there, we forward it to the employer who posted the position. We want to be completely transparent about what fields are on that form and why each one exists. None of these fields are there as filler β€” every one serves a practical purpose in the hiring process:
Application FieldWhat You’re SharingWhy the Employer Needs It
Full NameYour first and last name as you type itBasic identification β€” the employer needs to know who they’re considering
Email AddressYour personal or professional emailPrimary way the employer will contact you about your application
Phone Number / WhatsAppYour mobile number including country codeMany UAE employers prefer WhatsApp or phone calls for initial screening
Current LocationThe city and country where you currently liveLocation matters a lot in the UAE job market β€” visa status, relocation, and availability all depend on it
NationalityYour nationality (optional for some listings)Certain UAE roles have specific visa sponsorship or nationality requirements under local labor law
Years of ExperienceYour total relevant professional experienceHelps match you to the right seniority level for the role
Current or Last Job TitleWhat you’re currently doing or did most recentlyGives quick context about your professional background
Resume / CVA PDF or Word document you uploadThis is the core document β€” it’s what the employer will review to evaluate your candidacy
Cover Letter (optional)A message or document explaining your interestYour chance to explain why you’re a great fit β€” some employers value this highly
LinkedIn Profile (optional)Your public LinkedIn URLMany hiring managers in the UAE check LinkedIn as part of their evaluation
Expected Salary (optional)Your salary expectation in AEDHelps both you and the employer avoid wasting time if the budget doesn’t align
Notice Period / AvailabilityHow soon you could start workingEmployers frequently have a timeline β€” knowing your availability upfront speeds things up

After You Hit Submit β€” What Happens Next

Once you submit your application, here’s the exact chain of events:
  1. Your application data is received by our system
  2. We forward it to the employer who posted that specific job listing
  3. A copy is stored on our system for a limited time (12 months β€” see Section 8 for full details)
  4. We use the stored copy only if you contact us with a question about your application, or for basic administrative record-keeping
We pass your information to the employer exactly as you entered it. We don’t edit it, add to it, or share it with anyone other than the employer you chose to apply to. Once the employer receives your application, how they handle your data going forward is governed by their own privacy practices β€” not ours. If you’re concerned about a specific employer’s data handling, we’d recommend checking their website for their own privacy policy.

Job Alert Email Subscriptions

If you sign up for job alerts, we collect your email address and whatever search preferences you set (for example, “accounting jobs in Dubai” or “IT jobs in Abu Dhabi”). We use this information for one purpose only β€” sending you an email when a matching job gets posted. We won’t send you marketing emails, promotional offers from third parties, or anything other than the job alerts you asked for. And you can unsubscribe instantly by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any alert email. It takes effect immediately β€” no “processing period” or hoops to jump through.

4. Exactly How We Use Your Information

We want to be specific here β€” not vague. A lot of privacy policies say things like “we may use your data to improve our services” without explaining what that actually means. Here’s our complete list, and there’s nothing hidden behind it:
  • To deliver your job application to the right employer β€” This is the primary reason we collect application data. You apply, we forward it. That’s the core function.
  • To send you job alert emails you subscribed to β€” If you signed up for notifications, we email you when matching jobs go live. We don’t email you about anything else unless you’ve specifically asked.
  • To keep the website running properly β€” Technical data like browser type and device information helps us ensure pages load correctly and features work as intended.
  • To understand how people use the site β€” We look at aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand things like which job categories are most popular, which pages have the highest bounce rates, and where users tend to drop off. This helps us make the site better for everyone.
  • To protect against spam, bots, and fraudulent activity β€” We monitor traffic patterns and form submissions to catch automated spam and protect the integrity of our job listings.
  • To reply when you contact us β€” If you send us a message through the contact page or email us directly, we use your contact details to respond. That’s it.
  • To comply with legal requirements β€” If UAE law, a court order, or a legitimate legal process requires us to retain or disclose certain information, we will comply. But we only share the minimum required.
Here’s what we don’t do with your information: we don’t build individual profiles on you, we don’t run targeted advertising based on your job searches, and we don’t use any form of automated decision-making that could affect your opportunities.

5. Cookies, Tracking & Analytics β€” The Full Picture

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They’re a normal part of how the internet works, and our site uses them for a few specific reasons. Let us walk you through each type so there are no surprises:
Cookie Type Can You Turn It Off?
Essential Cookies No β€” the site can’t function without these
Analytics Cookies Yes β€” through your browser settings or a cookie opt-out tool
Preference Cookies Yes β€” clearing your browser cookies removes these
Advertising Cookies (not yet active) Will be opt-out when activated

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You’re in control. Every major browser gives you the ability to manage, block, or delete cookies. Here are direct links to the cookie settings pages for the most common browsers: A quick heads-up: if you block essential cookies, some parts of the site will stop working properly (like submitting forms). Blocking analytics cookies, on the other hand, won’t affect your experience at all β€” it just means your visit won’t be counted in our traffic data.

Our Analytics Tool: Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic patterns β€” things like total page views, most visited pages, average session duration, and which countries our visitors come from. The data Google Analytics collects is anonymized and aggregated. It does not identify you as an individual, and we don’t use it to track specific people. If you’d prefer to opt out of Google Analytics across all websites you visit, you can install the free Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

6. Google AdSense β€” Our Advertising Plans

What Is Google AdSense?

Google AdSense is an advertising programme operated by Google LLC. It allows website owners to display ads on their pages and earn revenue when visitors view or click on those ads. The ads are served by Google’s own systems β€” we don’t choose which specific ads appear. Google decides what to show based on factors like the content of the page, your general geographic location, and, if you’re signed into a Google account, your broader browsing interests.

When Will Ads Start Appearing?

We plan to apply for Google AdSense approval in the coming months. Ads will only appear on UAE Job Hub after we receive Google’s approval and manually activate the ad placements. When that happens, we’ll do three things:
  1. Update this Privacy Policy with specific details about the active advertising cookies
  2. Change the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
  3. Add a clear, visible notice on the website so you know ads are now present

What Data Will AdSense Collect?

Once active, Google AdSense will place cookies on your device and may collect the following types of information:
  • Your approximate geographic location (based on your IP address β€” not precise GPS)
  • Pages and content you’ve viewed on our site and potentially on other websites
  • Whether you interacted with an ad (viewed it, clicked it, etc.)
  • Your device type, browser, and operating system
  • If you’re signed into a Google account, your broader browsing interests and activity may be used by Google to personalise the ads you see
Important: Google manages this entire process through their own systems. We don’t see, access, or control the detailed data Google collects through AdSense. Google’s handling of this data is governed entirely by Google’s own Privacy Policy.

How to Control Personalised Ads from Google

You’ll always have the option to control whether Google shows you personalised ads. Here’s where you can manage that: Opting out doesn’t mean ads disappear β€” it means the ads you see won’t be tailored to your browsing history. You’ll see generic ads instead of personalised ones.

7. Who Gets Access to Your Data (And Who Doesn't)

We keep data sharing to the absolute minimum. We don’t sell your personal data β€” not now, not ever. We don’t share it with data brokers, marketing companies, or advertising networks. Here are the only parties who receive your information and the specific reasons why:

The Employer You Applied To

When you submit a job application, your details go to one place: the employer who posted that specific listing. That includes your name, email, phone number, CV, and whatever else you filled in on the application form. This is the whole reason the application exists, so it’s essential. Once the employer receives your information, their own privacy practices govern what happens next. If you’re unsure about a particular employer, look for their privacy policy on their website.

Our Website Hosting Provider

The site runs on servers managed by a third-party hosting company. They process data in the background to keep the website online and functioning β€” but they don’t have the ability to access, use, or share your data independently. We use providers that maintain strong security standards.

Google Analytics

As explained in Section 5, Google Analytics receives anonymized, aggregated traffic data from our site. It cannot identify you personally. Google processes this data under their own terms and policies.

Our Email Service Provider

If you’ve signed up for job alerts, our email delivery provider processes your email address to send those notifications. We only work with reputable, GDPR-compliant email providers.

Law Enforcement (Only When Legally Required)

If we receive a valid legal request from UAE authorities β€” a court order, a regulatory requirement, or a legitimate law enforcement demand β€” we will comply with what is specifically requested. We won’t volunteer extra information beyond what the request requires.

Our Hard Commitments β€” What We Will Never Do

These aren’t just guidelines β€” they’re promises:
  • ❌ We will never sell your personal data to any company, for any reason
  • ❌ We will never share your CV or application with employers you didn’t apply to
  • ❌ We will never give your contact information to recruiters, headhunters, or staffing agencies without your explicit, informed consent
  • ❌ We will never rent or trade your email address to any mailing list, newsletter, or marketing database
  • ❌ We will never use your application data for any purpose other than forwarding it to the employer you chose

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We don’t hold onto your data indefinitely. Each type of information has a specific retention period, and once that period ends, the data is either permanently deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be connected to you as an individual.

Type of DataHow Long We Keep ItΒ
Job application data (name, email, phone, CV, cover letter, etc.)12 months from the date you submitted itΒ
Job alert email subscriptionUntil you unsubscribeΒ
Contact form messages6 monthsΒ
Analytics data (fully anonymized)26 months (Google Analytics default setting)Β
Server and technical logs (IP addresses, error logs)90 daysΒ

Want your data deleted sooner? You absolutely can. Just email us at contact@uaejobhub.com and we’ll process your request. See Section 9 for full details on how to exercise your data rights.

9. Your Rights β€” What You Can Ask Us to Do

Your personal data belongs to you. Regardless of where in the world you’re located, we believe you should have meaningful control over your information. Here are your rights and exactly how to exercise them:

Right to Know What We Have

You can ask us to tell you exactly what personal data we hold about you. We’ll compile it and send it to you within 30 days in a clear, understandable format.

Right to Fix Mistakes

If we have incorrect information about you β€” a typo in your email, an old phone number, a wrong name spelling β€” let us know and we’ll correct it promptly.

Right to Delete Your Data

You can request that we delete all personal data we hold about you. We’ll comply unless there’s a specific, legitimate legal reason we’re required to keep it (like an active legal proceeding). One honest caveat: if you’ve already applied for a job, we can delete your data from our systems, but we can’t retrieve what was already sent to the employer. You would need to contact that employer directly to request deletion from their end.

Right to Withdraw Consent

If you subscribed to job alerts, you can unsubscribe any time β€” just click the link at the bottom of any alert email. If you gave consent for anything else, you can withdraw it by contacting us. No questions asked.

Right to Object to Processing

You can tell us to stop processing your data for analytics or any purpose beyond delivering a service you specifically requested.

Right to Get a Copy of Your Data

You can request a copy of the personal data you’ve provided to us, delivered in a standard, portable format that you can take elsewhere.

How to Make a Request

Simply email contact@uaejobhub.com and tell us what you need. For security, we’ll verify your identity first β€” this protects you by ensuring we’re not handing your data to someone pretending to be you. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days, and most simple requests are handled much faster than that.

10. How We Keep Your Data Safe

Security isn’t something we treat as an afterthought. Here are the measures we have in place:
  • HTTPS encryption across the entire site β€” every page uses SSL/TLS, which means data traveling between your browser and our servers is encrypted. You’ll see the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.
  • Secured server infrastructure β€” application data and uploaded files are stored on servers with access controls, firewalls, and regular security updates.
  • Limited data access β€” only the site administrator has access to stored application data. There’s no team of people with access to your CV.
  • No unnecessary data storage β€” we don’t keep data longer than the retention periods outlined in Section 8. Once the period ends, it’s gone.
We want to be honest about one thing, though: no website can guarantee 100% security. No system on the internet is entirely immune to risk. What we can promise is that we take reasonable, appropriate measures to protect your data and we stay on top of security updates. If you ever suspect your data has been compromised or you notice anything unusual related to your application or account, please contact us immediately at contact@uaejobhub.com.

A Practical Tip About Your CV

We strongly recommend not including highly sensitive personal details in your CV. Information like your Emirates ID number, passport number, bank account details, or personal photographs aren’t needed for a job application and create unnecessary risk if the document is ever seen by the wrong person. Stick to professionally relevant information β€” your experience, skills, qualifications, and contact details are all an employer needs to evaluate your candidacy.

11. Children's Privacy

UAE Job Hub is a professional employment platform designed exclusively for working-age adults. This website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from children or minors. If we ever discover that we’ve inadvertently received data from someone under 18 β€” whether through a job application, job alert signup, or contact form β€” we will delete that data immediately and completely. If you’re a parent, guardian, or anyone who believes a minor has submitted personal information through our site, please reach out to us right away at contact@uaejobhub.com. We take this seriously and will act quickly.

12. Links to External Websites

Some of our job listings may include links to an employer’s own website or their external application portal. When you click one of those links and leave UAE Job Hub, you’re entering a different website entirely β€” one that we don’t own, operate, or control. Once you’re on another site, our Privacy Policy stops applying. That website’s own privacy practices take over. We strongly recommend checking the privacy policy of any external site before submitting personal information, especially if you’re uploading your CV or sharing contact details. We do our best to link only to legitimate, reputable employers, but we can’t be responsible for how third-party websites handle your data after you leave our platform.

13. When This Policy Changes

The internet doesn’t stand still, and neither do privacy regulations. We’ll update this policy whenever something meaningful changes β€” for example:
  • When we activate Google AdSense and advertising appears on the site
  • When we add a new feature that collects or processes user data differently
  • When UAE data protection laws or international regulations require us to update our practices
  • When we change our hosting provider, email service, or analytics tools
When we make a change, here’s what will happen:
  1. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will change to reflect the new version
  2. For significant changes that affect how we handle your personal data, we’ll post a clear notice on the website’s homepage for a reasonable period
  3. If we have your email (from job alerts), we may notify you directly about major changes
We’d encourage you to check this page from time to time if you use the site regularly. By continuing to use UAE Job Hub after changes have been posted, you’re indicating your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with a change, you have every right to stop using the site and request deletion of your data.

14. Get in Touch β€” Contact Information

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of your data rights, spotted something that doesn’t look right, or you’re simply not sure about something β€” reach out. We’re real people, and we respond to every message personally. We don’t have a complicated ticketing system or an automated chatbot. Send us an email or use the contact form, and an actual person will read it and get back to you.
