About the Position
We are seeking experienced and qualified Civil Engineers to join our dynamic engineering team in Dubai. As a Civil Engineer with our company, you will be involved in all phases of construction projects from planning and design to execution and completion. You will work on diverse projects including high-rise buildings, residential developments, infrastructure works, and urban development initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience with the latest construction methodologies and technologies in one of the world’s most dynamic construction markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and oversee construction projects ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications using AutoCAD and other design software
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project feasibility and requirements
- Review and analyze project drawings, blueprints, and construction documents for accuracy
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution
- Prepare quantity take-offs, material estimates, and cost calculations for construction projects
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards
- Perform quality control inspections and prepare technical reports on project progress
- Ensure all construction activities comply with UAE building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
- Solve technical problems and provide engineering solutions during construction phases
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans for construction activities
- Liaise with Dubai Municipality, consultants, and regulatory authorities for approvals and permits
- Supervise and guide junior engineers and technical staff on site
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings
- Conduct structural analysis and design calculations for various building elements
- Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with specifications
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction and civil engineering projects (UAE experience highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and building codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design software
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000
- Good understanding of UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and safety standards
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of quantity surveying and cost estimation
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to work in UAE
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or chartered engineer status
- Previous experience with high-rise building projects in UAE
- Arabic language skills (spoken and written)
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software like Revit
- Knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- LEED or sustainability certifications
- Experience with infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities)
- Membership in professional engineering organizations
